New update from Wally.

Saturday March 19th

Yesterday's funeral honoured Jacqueline very well. I was told that this was the largest event ever held inside the church. 300 people attended the ceremony at the 150-seat church. Please don't tell the fire marshall. From what I understand this figure does not even include those who sadly could not be accommodated. I hear some guests celebrated the event together at the Tim Horton's down the road. The Jacquie I know would have laughed in utter disbelief and found it completely complimentary.

We sincerely regret the church could not accommodate everyone that wanted to be there. Having the funeral at St. Anne's was among the few preparations Jacqueline discussed.

If you would like the photo slideshow DVD as shown during visitation or photo prints, feel free to request a free copy from any of us. Please donate to one of the designated charities or just give blood. (To the Red Cross, not to us ;) )

The guestbook will remain open indefinitely, as will our doors.

Monday March 14th

Jackie passed away peacefully around 8PM last night at her parents' home in London. She was comfortable and surrounded by loved ones. Her husband Doug, in particular, ushered her through with inconceivable strength, compassion, and love. I will be forever grateful for that.

Sunday March 13th

An update will be posted here around noon tomorrow, March 14th. In the meantime you are welcome to call Jacquie's parents at 519-433-7955, or her brother Graham at 519-488-1452.

Monday March 7th

Jacqueline is now at her parents' house. Please call prior to visiting, just to be sure she's up to it. 433-7955. Here's a map. The adjoining church has never seemed to mind us using their parking lot, except on Sunday mornings, of course.

Some pictures are available after several requests. It's possible some people might not want to see pictures of her at the hospital, so be aware there are some very recent shots. But she looks great to me :) Pictures.

Sunday March 6th
It's been a good weekend. Still on track for the big move tomorrow as far as I know.

Thanks for all the guestbook entries everyone! I delivered the first batch last night and will continue to do the same daily.

Friday March 4th
Plans are being made to move Jacqueline her parents' house on late Monday afternoon (Mar 7).

Thursday March 3rd
Jacqueline is currently on the 7th floor in room 7293 at Westminster Campus in London. The hospital is at the corner of Wellington and Commissioners' Roads. Visiting hours are unofficially unrestricted and visitors are most welcome, but please be aware that visitation at any given time is dependent upon her current condition. Be prepared for a parking charge of $3/hr, $9 max, cash or credit card (no interac). Please feel free to call Graham Cherwaty at 519-488-1452 anytime if you need help with transportation.
